Pricing Guidance

Transparent about cost from the first conversation.

These are starting points, not estimates. Final pricing depends on your property, scope, materials, access, and design requirements. We will explain the cost clearly before any work begins.

  • From $2,500

    Cleanup and Property Enhancements

    Pruning, bed preparation, edging, mulch, pine straw, targeted cleanup, and property improvements.

  • From $5,000

    Planting, Drainage, and Lighting

    Planting plans and installation, drainage solutions, grading corrections, and landscape lighting.

  • From $10,000

    Hardscape, Design and Build, and Renovations

    Paver patios, retaining walls, complete landscape renovations, and full design and build projects.

Initial consultations are complimentary. A separate design fee may apply to complex projects. We will explain any design fee before work begins.

We do not accept routine lawn mowing or ordinary maintenance contracts at this time. Minimum project investment is $2,500.

  1. Tell us about your project

    Complete the consultation form and tell us about your property, the problem you want to solve, your timeline, and your approximate budget. Photographs of the space are helpful when available.

  2. Our team reviews your inquiry

    Our leadership team will review your inquiry and contact you to discuss the project, property, location, timing and budget. This is a real conversation, not an automated response.

  3. Meet at the property

    The initial property consultation is complimentary. Mike or Zach listens, evaluates the conditions, and begins identifying practical solutions appropriate to your site and budget.

  4. Review the design and proposal

    Simple projects move directly to a detailed written proposal. Complex projects may require a design phase. We explain the process clearly before anything begins so you always know what to expect.

    Mike brings more than a decade of experience in landscaping sales, project development, production, and customer relationships. He leads the company, works directly with homeowners, helps shape each solution, and remains personally accountable for the experience H.H. Hoy delivers.

    Zach brings deep plant knowledge, design insight, and installation expertise to each project. He works with Mike to translate the homeowner's goals into a cohesive plan and leads projects from design through execution.

H.H. Hoy generally serves properties within approximately 30 minutes of Research Triangle Park. We may travel farther for an excellent project — if you are outside our typical range, complete the consultation form and we will let you know whether we can help.

What type of company is H.H. Hoy Outdoor Living?
H.H. Hoy is a premium residential landscape design and build firm serving homeowners across the Triangle. We design and build — meaning we develop a plan and then execute it. We are not a lawn mowing or routine maintenance company. Our work includes landscape renovations, custom hardscapes, planting, drainage, lighting, and lawn installation.
What size projects do you accept?
Our projects generally begin at $2,500. Cleanup and enhancement work starts at that level. Planting, drainage, and lighting projects typically begin around $5,000. Hardscape, design and build, and complete renovation projects typically begin around $10,000. We do not accept routine lawn mowing or ordinary maintenance contracts at this time.
Is the initial consultation free?
Yes. The initial property consultation is complimentary. Mike or Zach will visit your property, listen to your goals, evaluate the conditions, and begin identifying practical solutions — at no charge.
Do you charge for landscape design?
Simple projects may move directly to a detailed proposal without a separate design fee. More complex projects — those that require a full design before we can develop an accurate scope and price — may involve a separate design fee. We will explain any design fee clearly before design work begins.
Do you provide routine lawn mowing?
No. H.H. Hoy does not currently offer routine lawn mowing or ordinary weekly maintenance. Our focus is on design, installation, and improvements — the kind of work that transforms a property rather than maintains it. If you are looking for routine mowing, we are happy to point you in the right direction.
Will you tell me if my idea is not right for my property?
Yes, and that is one of the most important things we can offer. Mike's approach is to understand your goals, evaluate your property honestly, and tell you what will actually work — not just what you want to hear. If we believe a different approach would serve you better, we will say so. If we believe you do not need a project at all, we will tell you that too. Trust is more valuable to us than any single sale.
